How many people commute all week?

and when you do which ride do you find the hardest, the one were your grinding and cant see the light..?

personally i find Thursday morning the worst for wanting to get the dreaded train and then the route home seems so much longer than the previous days...

If I am on the heavy hybrid, I generally find Wednesdays the hardest, probably given it too much effort on Monday and Tuesday. I generally manage a similar distance on Wednesday but I take it easier, missing out the hills I normally cycle up.
If I am on the road bike then the weather is good and everyday is great^_^ .

Wednesday is generally my hardest day.
If I've done a club run on Sunday, and then cycled to work Monday, and then cycled to footy on Monday night and played for 90 minutes before cycling home, and then try to stretch out the legs by cycling to work and back on Tuesday... then by Wednesday morning my legs feel like they're going to fall off!

  • Mondays are weird. Although rested after the weekend, the legs kinda feel funny. Almost as if they've gotten used to the rest and can't be arsed.
  • Tuesday, probably the second best commute - still fresh but legs now broken in
  • Wednesday - mid-week sluggishness.
  • Thursday - feeling tired now but battle through.
  • Friday - know that I'm knackered, but tend to be the fastest / most enjoyable commute. Legs are in full flow and that feeling of being in the home straight somehow brings that little bit extra out of me. Fridays epitomises the perfect balance of pain vs pleasure cycling

In between here and there
Friday afternoon, even if I am going to go in on Saturday. It is the only day I lock up so is a later finish, plus tired legs and traffic.

Here for rides.
Friday generally the hardest ride physically, but mentally the easiest as there tends to be less traffic about.

Certainly sums it up for me epseh Fridays are the best that feeling of freedom on the ride home normally means i beat or get close to me PB on the Friday home run

My hardest ride is the one with the strongest head wind. With only one gear a strong headwind can kill my legs as there isn't much chance of an easy spin home.

Depends on all sorts of factors, such as the weather and whether or not I did an audax at the weekend... I do a mixed train/bike commute, so I can vary the distance I ride according to how I feel from day to day.
