Had last week off work so first day back today..

Got half a mile down the road and realised I'd forgotton my train pass - turned around sharpish and had to ride like mad so as not to miss my train.

Get the train and straight away realise I'd forgotton a change of clothes! Had to spend first couple of hours in Lyrca until I could pop out to get a pair of jeans... :shy:

It might be an idea to get your work stuff ready the night before.

I had the mad flap on sunday of working out how to get all the stuff i need to get back to work , back to work. getting it home was easy as i brought it in stages as i had to use tube etc .

the cold was the big one, i went out in just shorts and top and after i had wrestled my nuts back from my abdomen i decide legging time of year had arrived. .

today was even colder . and i still forgot some bits n bobs

Why don't you leave a set of clothes at work 'just in case' ?

I've got 2 suits at work plus spare a set of clothes and cycle jersey/shorts in case of rain/forgetfulness.
I just added a cheap track pump to my gear at work - handy for colleagues too.

This is uber organised. But a track pump at work  ?
Yes, in the staff room: a few of us girlies had flats near work, we are ok at changing tubes, pumping up with a small pump is a different story.
Most of us girls cycling into work have only a short commute, so it is sometimes easier to just walk it and fix the flat in work - it is a big building, with lots of empty halls, no need to do it outside in the cold and the dark.

I am currently working on getting emergency kit for the cyclists at our place..including spare tubes and patches......could come in handy on occasion.

We picked up the tool kit from Aldi, and I got a couple of bargains on the Internet for the other stuff. Between all us cyclists it worked out at a few quid each, so for peace of mind it's well worth it.
