Just succesfully bid on some 7 speed sora brake shifters on ebay for the Viking, really happy as my stem shifters were getting hard to get to with the bits and bobs on handlebars (2 lights, blackberry holder and a bell - yes bell even though no ped can here it as they've always got earphones in)

And LBS say they can fit for £20 including new cables and rewinding handlebar tape, I could do it I just can't see the point by the time I've but the cables.

About £35 including carriage, they are used but in good condition, watched a few in the past go for well over £60 quid as 7 speed quite rare (I have been told I could've used 8 speed as spacing is same but they are about same money anyway)

Sounds about right, lloyds in swad did a refit of a sram shifter, index and retape with new bar tapefor £10 last year

Well chuffed here in Leeds also.Found a sale online with Evans,so for £6-99p. i bought some Charge u bend bar tape,well it arrived today by FIRST CLASS POST.That impressed me but even more this tape was £12-99p and looking at it, it is very posh nice and comfy so let's have some better weather and get it on.

They're on, had to have new handle bar tape as other had been on a while didn't come off very well. Here's an after photo I think they make the bike look loads better (thats the Blackberry holder I've mentioned before) sorry I forgot a before photo (but we all know how pants butterfly shifters look!) and I got 2 PB's on Strava today. life's good (Oh and clipless pedals next me thinks)

I sort of ran out of room with blackberry holder and butterfly shifters, bell etc. so it just seemed logical to make more room as you said and I put it back on after the fit the same way again. Hey I might of started a new fashion!

I have run lights under the bar as well before now, avoids a cable shadow when running shifters with an external cable.
