I'm a bit miffed, this is now the fourth Android device I've had and the problem appears to be getting worse! I've got a Samsung S2 now.

I've done many tens of thousands of miles in the 2 years I've been using my HTC Desire as my only GPS unit, and it's never failed to get a quick fix or track me accurately.

Happened on one of my rides

I think it's may be when it momentarily looses the GPS signal as when it happened to me it was when I'd rode under a motorway bridge

Deleted it know as it messed my ride training history up and said I'd ridden thousands of miles in September

Nope, my HTC Desire was really quite accurate.
