Went out this morning just for a little 25 mile jaunt but didn't feel right from the outset. Well after riding half way approached some red lights and was anticipating them to change. Nevertheless less they didn't and I took my first fall with clip on shoes. Everyone said it would happen but I had to wait 8 weeks for my first fall! Hurt my pride rather than anything else lay there next to a white van man who found the funny side lol
Welcome to the club, but for maximum points in the future, try and do it next to a bus queue with at least twenty teenagers in it.
Ha! How to make an bad situation worse!

I did the same thing, got the traffic lights wrong by about 1 second, and over I went:blush:

My first clipless 'off' was unwitnessed but after I'd unclipped, I just rested my foot on the pedal for a second before leaning to the left to put my foot down. You guessed it.. I'd clipped in again!!

Glad you are OK and welcome to the club.

Oh, yes, done that, toppled over when light stayed red, amids half a dozen concerned black taxi drivers.
Thing is, I have flat pedals ...

I've been very lucky so far. 1 when I lost an SPD bolt (2 bolt cleats and when 1's missing you can't un-clip) and rolled onto grass verge (no witnesses I'm aware of) and 1 clip and strap from 1978 when I was left hooked and left lying in the road still strapped in.
