I've just changed jobs, and now work at a different station, on different shifts. Tonight was the first time I'd finished work at just after 11 pm, and despite the lashing rain have just really enjoyed the ride home. I think I was passed three times in six miles, whereas normally I'm filtering and jockeying all the way. I could get to enjoy late shifts! Oh, and the Paramo Vista jacket has absolutely excelled itself. Perfect for cold wet weather.

As an aside, the new place has far better showers and a drying room for wet tights and stuff.

I have a pair of waterproof trousers from Paramo and wear them to keep me warm even when it's dry. I've had good service from them.

Totally agree, I love riding home after backshift, you practically get the road to yourself and its so quiet and peaceful.

. . especially under moonlight! This time of year, though, I'm craving daylight . . I'm spoiled by "sunset" rides on the way home, which begin in about 6 weeks.
