Well, look on the bright side, if you've been walking around with a chronic blockage for two years, think how fab and full of beans you're going to feel when they've flushed it out - Like a new man!
That is my thinking. I enjoyed a 22 miler today.....have cycled 96 this week as well as 2 decent walks and am feeling good (for an old git).....so hoping they can sort it out.

I've never had to go through anything like you have Dave so I don't know how I'd react if I did, but I hope you're able to have this kind of attitude, 'I've been through far worse, and I'll see this off no problem.'
TBH...I do feel that way. There have been times when I have felt "down" but generally I feel possitive.

Best wishes to get it sorted @Dave7!
In extremis ... one can live perfectly well with one kidney

I posted recently re' my good news that my bladder cancer is showing clear.
I was sent for an ultra scan which confirms that the bladder is indeed clear.
However.....it picked up that my right kidney has a "chronic blockage".
I find out on Monday what happens next.
Apparently it can be caused by a blood clot and after my cancer op (2 years ago) I did have a blood clot on that kidney.....a scan indicated it had "cleared itself".......maybe it hadn't.
NIL ILLEGITIMI CARBORUNDUM comes to mind
Sorry to read that Dave Seems you have already been through the mill so you hardly need this. Hope you get this sorted out quickly. Best wishes
Good luck Dave, at least they're spotted it and presumably that means they can do something about it.
I will find out soon.
Today I found out its a partial blockage....that sounds better ^_^
I now wait for the specialist thingy type person to tell me what will happen next.
