Slush has arrived here...

Worst commute so far was tonight. On the side roads leaving work, at one point my front wheel was still pointing down the road, but my back wheel was about 10-15 degrees off track

Hairy moment when I pulled onto my road too and after a clear ride on main roads, forgot myself for a second and lost the front wheel for a fraction - recoverable but a wake-up call

As long as I breathe, I attack.
was all ready here to commute in when i got up the snow was coming down and the side roads weer a death trap, trouble is the country route i commute is open fields so they were just as bad , maybe 5 miles or so at 15 mph in the car .
I did not even consider going faster, tomorrow i have a dentists appointment so i will need the car to make it in time anyway.

GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR !!! i am going stir crazy with the lack of cycling.

So you were covered then - should have gone faster since your appointment was already booked! ;)

Am tempted to resume my commuting tomorrow too, side roads still dicey but main roads seemed quite good tonight.
Not ridden since Dec11th and am feeling rather unfit again.

Still a lot of snow here, only the A-roads are completely clear with the B-roads etc. having the odd slush patch where you don't expect. I don't enjoy commuting on those roads by bike in the best of weather, so I shall be keeping my bike in the garage until things improve enough for me to get back onto the lanes again. Probably best though given the amount of salt that's everywhere. ;)

I'm starting to get a bit fed up with it. It snowed again last night, thankfully main roads were clear. I couldn't be bothered digging my car out again so had my first commute of the year (very enjoyable I must say even if it was over 12 minutes longer than normal!). Work colleagues laughed saying that only I could say cycling in was less hassle then getting the car out. Apparently we have a "moderate risk" of more snow tomorrow and Wednesday.
