I started to watch it but then switched over to watch something much better- Tattoo Fixers. I honestly don't know why my hubby complains that I watch crap telly. If it's repeated as mentioned earlier then I think I might watch the whole thing.

I don't think Arthur Lowe came out of it looking good.

But then when the live recording scene came along the audience loved him and he was quite brilliant in the part so he rather redeemed himself.

The show made a point of using the character of the real actors in the show but I think in this drama they rather applied the character to the actor.


I did enjoy it and it was very well cast. I did not realise that Lowe was John Sessions until the credits!


There is a new Dads Army film out with a whole different cast just coming out. I don't really fancy that as it is must really just a copy of the original, whereas this was telling a story of the creation of it.
 
The trailer for the film says "In 1944, when Britain was close to defeat.."

Uh? 1944?

That is a shame as the posters have rather a good line, given it will be competing with the latest Star Wars-
