We're having a new road.

Not from the local authority but from the builder of two "executive" newly built homes next door. You can build your own road here if you wish.
It was just a rough track previously so we are very grateful. I will have to look for some money for a contribution for him.

It won't be a proper road but just dirt rolled hard then tar applied and chippings sprinkled on top.

Even the state it is in there is better than the road I took from Accra up to the ferry at Dambai. It was like a dried up river bed.

Don't forget that's after its been graded and levelled. Most of the roads outside Accra are poor and accidents are many.

Work is continuing. They have brought Laterite, a red coarse material and also some medium to large stones which have been rolled into the surface.

Our house is the one in the top pic with the black gate.
