Haemorrhoid cream.
Do you apply it and then run the chain through your cheeks to get it on the chain?
Haemorrhoid cream.
Drip Wax (Tru Tension BananaSlip or Squirt) a lot less hassle than full wax to setup but has a lot of the benefits, principally everything is cleaner and things last longer.
my regime is clean the chain through a rag then apply oil and wipe of excess. Ive read that too much oil is a mistake and can attract dirt.grit etc but dont see how a minimum of oil would be effective. I go for applying lots of oil using it to clean as well as lubricate before removing excess. Chain longevity is very good and im not going to be converted by any new fangled super expensive high tech scented banana flavoured less fattening variety any time soon.

Well by the time I get to work today my lubes going to be pretty wet along with the rest of me by the look of it!
In all seriousness though I do use Finish Line wet lube. Like most others, I wipe the chain down with an oily rag then drip on some lube to each roller, went a short while then wipe off the excess, job done. I experiment with other lubes and methods from time to time, but in I keep coming back to this because it just works for year round riding on road and off.
Chainsaw Chain Oil
Isn't that a little bit too "oilly" ?
I’d be interested in how you use the BananaSlip - as that’s what my LBS stocked / recommended to me (The Tungsten version I linked to above) Ie: Did you attempt to ‘strip’ the chain before first application, and if you do that again before each re-application - and of course what you use to do that / try to then ensure you’re not applying the wax over any type of oil based stripping product you’ve used for getting the chain clean ?

You don’t need much and it lasts ages inside those rollers. Just be sure to wipe off the excess. The viscosity is just right, and you can always add a lower viscosity oil to adjust. Just check what ISO viscosity your oil is.
