Changed my tyres today on my road bike and when i took the rear tyre off it had a pool of water in it :wacko:
Also noticed inside the rim tape was wet through too. Does anyone kow what's going on?
PS, the front was bone dry.

It's normal, especially on a daily use bike. Most should drip out though. Don't forget, the rear wheel get's all the crap from the front - water sprayed onto spokes and rim can get in via the spoke holes.

I find it happens with certain models of tyre more than others. For example, a set of Pro Race 3s I had, despite numerus re-fittings, always tended to let water in, whilst I'm yet to see any ingress when using Conti 4 seasons (both been used in heavy downpours).
