Loving it!

I was able to commute on the bike today and the legs came out for the first time this year.

Even better; I managed to slipstream a truck for 5 minutes at about 30-35mph and got a Personal Best of 33minutes and 8.8 secs! :becool: :wahhey: :sun:

What! I'm obviously in the wrong place. It was foggy all morning with the odd bit of drizzle. it didn't start clearing up until around 1-2pm ish, then there was still no sun. The wind gave me a bit of a break today at least.

I'm a bit miffed about this alleged heat wave.

Even now, as stare out of yonder window... not a cloud in the sky and lovely and mild
I wasn't aware of Wales being wet, in general?!

Not so good here today in west mids. Lots more cloud and cooler than yesterday, which was glorious :sun:

My sunburn is hurting.... even if the sun comes out tomorrow again I'm going to have to try and avoid it....

Not quite so warm oop north - nicked off work and cycled Carnforth - Ingleton - Ribblehead - Dent - Sedburgh - Kirby Lonsdale - back to Carnforth. Long sleeved top, but I do have a pink bit around each wrist where there was a gap between top and gloves!

First (very minor!) sunburn of the year. Yay!

Today has shown a marked improvement. It was still foggy this morning, but I did a test run about the garden before I left the house to ascertain the need for any jacket. I determined that arm warmers would suffice. So I left the house in the fog with all my lights on (just as well I still haven't bothered to take them off) and got to work intact. The fog lifted about a mile or 2 away from home. I wore my 3/4 length trousers and sandals. My ears and finger tips were a bit cold to start off with but soon warmed up.

Now it looks lush out. The ride home should be really nice. I've decided to peddle home, then swap bikes so I'm on the road bike and go for another little ride on that. I'm sure Mr Plax will understand.......

I shall be leaving work as early as I dare so I can go for a gentle cycle alongside the river. It's far too nice in Bristol to be stuck indoors.

I'm trying to avoid the sunshine by staying indoors and allowing my sunburn to recover ... however I'm sorting out my wardrobe to find all those nice summer clothes that have been hidden at the back all winter. (And looking for my flip flops!!)

I really does feel like summer is here at last, here in a VERY sunny and hot (not warm) Costa del Sol.

On my way back from the Costa earlier, one of the 'tourist' thermometers read 33c. In reality it's around 27c.
