What a rigmarole !!

Changed the seat on the boardman for a charge spoon as due to losing weight i can feel my ass bones all the time .
The micro adjust seat post was a biatch, the nut kept falling out as i tried to push the bolt through , kept dropping them on the floor and had to play hunt the part.Finally managed to get the bolts through then had to set the saddle level, much easier on a 1 bolt system to get it close enough .
Due to the saddle being a different height i then had to reset saddle height + reach and finally moved the saddle bag only to find the rails are not thick enough for the clamp so i had to shim it with some bits of bike light rubber .
Hour and a half to change a freaking saddle !!!

Got to test it yet......

Mate of mine can change a flat in under 3- mins but came in work last month..."two bloody hours to change a freakin' saddle, fiddly awkward barsteward"

bugger the saddle is not even that comfy for me , gone back to the original saddle and i might end up selling the spoon although i somehwo managed to get a stain on the nice new white saddle
The old one went back on in 5 mins max as i had marked seat post and saddle rails .
Spoon felt somehow harder.

I got over excited , looks like abit of oil , i might give it a scrub see if it comes out and its a very small mark dead centre of the seat .

For some strange reason not everyone takes to charge spoon saddles, there's a few people on Cycle Chat who have tried them and not liked them. I have one on my fixed and I find it very comfortable, but it was a bugger to get set up, I had problems with numb b******* syndrome on the first few rides I did on it, that's the first time I've had that for about twenty years, but now its dialled it in it's very comfortable.

I find fitting a saddle to be the biggest pain in the arse of any job on a bike. Takes ages to level it and get the fore/aft position right.

I found this very easy to setup and it is nearly as comfortable as my knackered out old Flite titanium....

Just fitted a white spoon to the Defy. Much better than the Giant Saddle.
