Happy birthday from me! Mine was last week and yet again I didn't get a present from SWMBO or the kids. Didn't get any at Christmas either from them despite me getting them things.

So I went and bought myself presents ...

Yes that's pretty much my approach, if I remember. I do usually remember Christmas.

Count your blessings, on my birthday 9 days ago I went in to get my kidney stone blasted, on the table they told me it had moved, couldn't do the op and I've still got the fecker. I was so pissed off, so no celebration, lunch, dinner, nothing and now I have to go for an op, so go out and buy the missus a nice gift, worth it just to see her reaction, why should you both haave a crap birthday............

I got a grand total of £15 not bothered about the money it was the off handed way i got treated as i would rather have some appreciation any day .
I treated myself to to ultremo r1 clinchers, man they are thin and i think they will be kept for special occasions.
With the remote i surrenderedto the wife and kids it means i am definetly under the thumb but i get to ride a bike and i am allowed out pretty much most of Sunday ( till 2-3 pm from 9 am ) so i guess i am paying for my hobby .
Just a final thanks to my sister who gave me the bottle of wine i gave them for xmas
