Well it's still fine here so it looks like I drove in for nothing. Great.

I don't mind a bit of rain but when you get so wet you can pour the water out of your shoes it's never much fun walking through the middle of the office. Hanging your wet clothes up never goes down too well either.

Missed me - nothing at work, but it apparently dropped it down at home about an hour and a half before I left work - just slightly damp when I got home. Family's turn to be drowned rats, after laughing at me last week. Just started tipping down here again. It'll be OK tomorrow !

I don't have hair issues. I have very fine, lifeless hair. It pretty much stays straight regardless. Only get a bit of a kink in it if I have it up in a bobble when it's wet. Somewhat limits my hair style choices but hey ho, I've never really bothered too much about hairstyles.

I cycled in to work today. Pretty much lovely weather, only pee'd down whilst I was stuck in work and brightened up nicely for home time. Stark contrast to the other day when I got soaked through on the way home. I had all my water proofs with me too, I just couldn't be bothered to stop and put them on. By the time I realised it probably would have been a good idea to have put them on I had soggy thighs anyway so it was pretty pointless.

I feel sorry for these cows;

Cycling in the rain is OK for me, but when I have to stand on the open deck of the ferry, with the wind coming off the water, it then gets a little cold, even if the ferry ride is only about 15 mins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No hair issues for me...I have a shower when I get in to work, so as I said above having had a 'pre-wash' in the rain isn't an issue. Wall-mounted hairdryer sorts out wet hair, but then I have fairly straight hair in a simple shoulder-length bob-ish cut which I ususally just leave to dry naturally. Total non-issue, my hair :smile:

Lucky you! Anyone that comes into the office only has to look at my hair to know whether I've cycled to work! Unfortunately, our offices provide showers but nowhere to dry your hair :biggrin:

I think our lot know that if they didn't give us a hairdryer, someone would bring in their own, and that wouldn't be properly PAT-tested and Company Approved, so they might as well cave and provide one.

Could you just use a big, dry towel? I never use a hairdryer on my hair (which is mid-back length).

I guess that depends what you job is, as I work in IT in a green/sustainable/etc organisation I can get away with pretty much anything :-D.

I work in IT and would love a job with a "green/sustainable/etc organisation" its all cars here, and leaving servers on etc.
