It's a bit late to change your original post - there are at least 3 copies of it where you describe destroying several nests.

Swifts are brown, no white bits. They are either Martins or Swifts. Difficult to distinguish on the wing.
The description of their nesting behaviour is typical Martin though. Swifts tend to nest in holes and crevices.

They are still in the original spot anyway, I can hear them at the momentWhatever they are I will leave well alone, I had no idea about any of this. It was only a splatter of mud that fell down anyway, I stand corrected
Not quite.
White body, black wings. Not black body white head![]()
We seem to have been plagued around our few houses for the last month or so, with small birds (white body with black wings and quite gobby), the bloody things are flying around here in there hundreds, and trying to build nests up under my roof/facias etc. Now they are doing it to everybody`s houses, and there is sh*t everywhere, and there are new nests every day when I get home.
We are surrounded by trees, why don`t they feck off and use those??
Never had this problem before, nor have I seen this type of bird before. Anybody know what they are??
