what are these tools for ?

I have a Halfords tool kit and i have no idea what some of the tools do ..

1 ?
2?
3? i know a chain whip but what are the spanner bits for
4? i am guessing cassette removal tool , i have a standard one

1 & 2 = BB tools
3 = headset spanners and for the BB (sq. taper)
4 = Cassette tool

3 is also chain whip (I just bought this for chainwhip and number 4: cassette lockring tool. Turned out I needed the chain breaker, too)

Although some of their descriptions are a bit odd.

However, I am somewhat reassured by the fact that the Halfords Essential Bike Tool Kit is apparently "Ideal for cyclists" - so a good start there.
