Straddle the line, discord and rhyme
Could be why I like techno as well. Repetitive, but layered, and always feels like something's about to happen.
Sleep Token might be mental but I don't think they're trying to be weird for the sake of it*. They manage to mash together genres but still remain metal and not drift too far into prog. What they're doing could easily sound awful but they make it work. And their drummer's an absolute unit.
*OK maybe the whole mask thing but it's a bit of fun.
