Read a magazine review the other day of a 2 80s LP's on 1 CD by a country singer called Earle Thomas Conley, one of those "if you only buy one CD this year, make sure it's this one" reviews. Anyway CD received and listened to today, dreadful stuff, a sort of MOR/soft rock nonsense, there was one track which actually sounded like a country song but the rest of it was truly dreadful. £6 up the swanee...

I gave up taking any notice of magazine reviews long ago after too many episodes just like that.

Normally I don't get caught out, but it seemed so convincing, might even write in and tell them they made a mistake and should listen again and agree with me that it's shite. Mind you, he could be a stuck in the 80s, no taste, mullet topped cloth ears.

Good idea, I think you should, you could also ask for £6 reimbursement , if they had any decency then they would send it you.

Maverick, it's got a bit too much modern stuff in for my liking but it has pages of reviews although they're not be trusted anymore.

I've never heard of that. I assume its a country music magazine is it?
Don't laugh but I still get Q, despite it being sh*te x2 and me getting peed off with the U2/REM/other crap bands love-ins they have had over the years.
