Hey fella, I know you're a country fan from the thread recently but have you come across the Child Ballads by Anais Mitchell and Jefferson Hamer? This below is part interview on Radio 2. It may be a bit too folky for you as the Child in question is a British folk song archivist.

Bob Dylan hosted a radio program called "The Theme Hour", I am not sure in what format you can access it in the UK, although I do know some is available via iTunes have a look/listen - brilliant stuff.

Just got a couple of downloads from iTunes; 'Honeys' by band called Pissed Jeans, and 'Dreamlands' EP by a London band called 'Sauna Youth'
