- clip not from these but gives you an idea of the quality!

Interesting stuff 3bm, this is new to me. I am listening to Brent Best performing the Pinball Song solo. I was searching him as i have just discovered my all time favourite country/rock band Slobberbone reformed this summer.

I have a Slobberbone CD somewhere in the collection - One Last Saturday Night?

Can't recommend Nez highly enough - a pioneer of country rock, oft overlooked for the likes of Gram Parsons but IMHO a better act - witty and also poignant songwriting and the music is first rate.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Magnetic-So...=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1259271055&sr=8-2 - bargain!

Great stuff, thanks for the recommendation! It's hard to go wrong at those prices so I may add it to my next import selection.

I have Gram Parsons' output in all his various guises but I can't say I'm over-impressed. I reckon he only succeeded because of his moneyed background.

As to Slobberbone, they are certainly more to the roots rock side of country and that's really where my interest in that direction lies. But I have many, many other directions!!

Slobberbone are a fine band as are the Drams, Brent Best's other project. Saw them live a couple of years back, outstanding. Jubilee Drive is a fine album.

Don't know if you spotted my response above 3bm, but I liked what I heard. I also see he's wearing the same garb I've seen Gram Parsons wearing. I wonder who dressed first!

Regarding the Mike Nesmith - yes PV, top notch and you won't regret that £4.98!!!

It's Nudie suits all round - check Porter Wagoner if you want the best of Nudie's work...
