Decline and Fall by Evelyn Waugh - one of a very few books I reread every five years or so.
The scene where the PE teacher shoots the pupil on the start line is one of the funniest ever!

"Do no harm" by Brain surgeon Henry Marsh. Excellent - one of the best books I've read in the last 12 months. (best not to read it if you are prone to head aches).
Me too, a fascinating and compelling book and it seems to be very 'honest and revealing'. At 80% through the book, I've not yet decided whether having read it would make me more or less comfortable if I, or someone I know, was undergoing neurosurgery.

Cold...by Sir Ranulph Fiennes

Not to far in, but quite good so far. It seems his first expeditions in Norway could so easily have ended in disaster. You're living on a knife edge at those extremes of weather and surroundings

Insider. Gerry Bradley's life in the IRA. Being an irishman and having lived in Northern Ireland through all the bad times I was interested to read this when it was a kindle special offer last week. It's an excellent look into the working mind of an IRA man and quite poignant in that Bradly committed suicide not long after the book was published....I don't think certain people approved of what he did.

One Summer, 1927 by Bill Bryson. It's well written and does enough to keep you reading. I'm guessing it will appeal more to American readers as it is a chapter in their history.
In fairness, I now know a lot more about Charles Lindbergh and Babe Ruth. I bet they never feature in another quiz I ever enter.
I like Bryson, but this one I can't get into for some reason.

I've got a couple of books on the go at the moment. A Lake District grand tour by Mike Carden & A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. I'd definitely recommend A Confederacy of Dunces to anybody.

Only just started, but seems an entertaining read. Off to Marrkech in a couple of days so I will stop reading it now and take it with me
