It would be nice to get some Cword for Christmas preferably without the tinsel and holly.

What are you doing this year for Christmas? (there, I said it!) :santa:
Looks like hubby will be off work (yay!) and as the kids are older/flown the nest, no 6am start for us!

Every year I threaten to get a take-away and every year I cook a full dinner!
I don't have a large family (dad and brother) but my eldest son (25) may come up from Cheshire to stay for a couple of days. The teens that are at home (19 and 18) will probably stay in bed until food is ready
My youngest, (13), has Autism and will be bouncing around at 9am, wanting to open presents - he will then retreat to his room with his latest Star Wars Lego set, where he will hole up until it's built.

If the weather is okay :snowball: I may leave them all to it and go for a :bicycle:
What's your plans?

I would love to hibernate from 23rd December until 2nd January but sadly I never succeed

This will be a different Christmas for us. My mum passed away in January, and our "traditional" Christmas Day would have been to go and get her in the morning, have her stay with us all day and all evening, and then (her choice) take her home again late in the evening.

For this year we have moved house to the seaside.

So I hope we will have a walk along the beach, followed by lunch and a drink or two, then a doze on the settee.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss
I still miss my mum after 12 years - I hope you can have a nice day filled with happy memories of her
