Wife working today, but she had some gifts and a bottle of Champagne from me and I am cooking a nice meal tonight, beef Wellington....hmmmm.

The kids won't eat it, so I'll have to cook them something else.

Absolutely nothing. Not even a card, not even a verbal 'Happy Valentines Day'.

The wife hates it, she sees it as a day designed to make you feel **** if you are single, and told me never, ever to waste money on it. Every year people are shocked saying 'she wants something really', every year she proves them wrong - its not a dislike of the day, it's a hatred!

Works for me though

It's a birthday in this household so that takes priority. And even before that we never did very much other than hand made cards really. However I think we are intending to go out for a family meal to celebrate various things in the next week - as he was asking where I would like to go.

I don't know anyone called Valentine.

Arch and I, though, have been having many, many great days when we are together (and when we are apart). So much nicer when love is all year round instead of 1/365th of the year.

No cards, chocs or flowers in either direction, but I am cooking Sirloin Steak for her this evening...then working for the rest of the night.

I bought her a fish...

...which I shall be cooking, and washing down with a reassuringly expensive white Hermitage.
