I never look at the pics till I actually get to them - I don't know why, but there it is as Harry Worth might have said.

I'm reading The Man Who Cycled the World - Mark Beaumont, it's okay but just an elongated crazyguyonabike tale really.

Just about to start 'The Right Stuff' by Tom Wolfe, about early astronauts and all that went on in the space race. It was published in '79 but I spotted it in Waterstones a while ago, just getting round to reading it.

Isn't he doing another trip? Top to bottom of the America's I believe. Is the book worth buying? The TV program sticks in my mind and is kind of inspiring.

I've got the DVD of The Right Stuff, it is great viewing, if an odd mixture of documentary and drama...

There were some great documentary's on this year, what with the moon landing anniversary. Can never really get bored of them IMO.

Only ever read one Stephen King book. The one about the clown living in the sewers.

Well this one is one of his better ones I think, if you like that sort of book.
Dean Koontz is a good novelist too, and James Herbert. And Ill also confess to a liking for anything by Jilly Cooper:blush:

I used to love Stephen King books, but I went off his stuff after a while, not sure why but some of the films made of the books were incredibly poor. James Herbert's early stuff was fantastic aswell, like The Spear, Magic Cottage and Shrine, but again he seems to have lost it IMO.

Magic Cottage is a fantastic book.

If I was to read only one Stephen King again...it would be 'The Stand' ...no question!
