I don't see it in the frame of 'must loose 2 stone this year' kind of thing, more a plan of what I would like to achieve in the forthcoming year.I've never really seen the point of this tradition of putting off making a decision until some arbitrary point in the calendar. Out of curiosity, how long do these procrastinated decisions typically last into the year?

My thoughts are verging towards setting a wedding date, to be announced when the bedroom suite is completed this year. It means I will want to get that bedroom, laundry, and bathroom built, plumbed, wired, plastered, decorated and all woodwork done. It also includes designing and making at least the bed if not many other pieces of furniture for the room.
The decision wasn't procrastinated either as the work was started properly some months ago but other jobs have gotten in the way.

My resolution for last year was lose a couple of stone, and ride more, and that resolution lasted oh let me see a year.I've never really seen the point of this tradition of putting off making a decision until some arbitrary point in the calendar. Aye, you got a thread not merely locked but completely erased ...innit?To give up smoking swearing and being so rude to people in P+L

I'd forgotten that!!Aye, you got a thread not merely locked but completely erased ...innit?![]()

It's a convenient point to draw a line under one's excesses and to start afresh but to keep you happy and break with tradition I'll use February 17th.
