Buy the Giant, their warranty may be better and all black is so yesterday.

This ^^ lifetime warranty on Giant frames. Ribble 6 years

Presume you've test ridden both?

If ok with buying online, Paul's cycles or Ash might have last year's Giant reduced (depending on the size you need)

E.g. https://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m7b0s6p6985/GIANT-TCR-ADVANCED-PRO-2-2016
https://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m7b4s6p7897/GIANT-TCR-ADVANCED-2-2017

Or stretch the budget for Ultegra
https://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m7b4s6p7895/GIANT-TCR-ADVANCED-1-2017

This special edition Ribble with the new Ultegra looks much better than the black one if you prefer the ride

Definitely the Giant...Ribble is fugly as (IMO ;) )

But go ride them and decide for yourself. The Giant linked is the Giant Store near St Paul's. I don't think they do on road tests

Do consider the massive warranty length difference though
