As per thread title.
I understand the difference and normally drink Cognac but fancy trying a brandy.
Somebody bought me a decent brandy (years ago).......it was very nice but I can't recall what it was..... what have you enjoyed?

Tesco's do a fabulous Sherry Cask Spanish Brandy at £19 a litre, it's now my goto spirit having a rounded and smooth flavour - great neat, with ice or in an espresso.
Far better than it's price suggests.
I'll post a photo in a minute....

That is a question I was often asked regarding whisky and the answer is “ The one you like best”.
I had a trainee who had previously worked in brandy distilling as whisky was the family business and he was sent out to get experience.
In Brittany I think it was they decided on when to switch the stills over to brandy by taste. The first job on a new shift was to assist the previous stillman off.
He had an unlabelled bottle he had smuggled out so cannot remember the name.
I prefer Calvados myself.

Maybe snobbish but I do prefer my cognac/brandy in a balloon glass.
But your suggestion sounds good.

And I'd agree....but they're still packed in boxes!
