As a user of a

Busch & Muller Toplight Line Plus​

I really appreciate the sensor feature, particulary when I head out in daylight but it becomes dark on the ride. Not having to bother to stop and turn on the rear light is a handy feature, so for me the idea is not a gimmick. That said I would like more details on the light output.

I think the lumens will need to be better and the lenses on it

Hadn't seen these but yes that does the same and maybe better too. I like that it has a reflector built in as well.
