Being bored is different to being boring. Ideally, one is neither!

I once worked out the speed of light to be 1.8 terafurlongs per fortnight.

Furlongs per fortnight have been arounda long time. I recall being asked to calculate the speed of light in furlongs per fortnight as a sixth former in the mid seventies. Beard growth was also estimated in the same units in the context of comparing the magnitude of the numbers when the units are extremely different i.e. carbon-carbon bonds per second vs furlongs per fornight.

I am not curious enough to perform the calculations again.

Those who are curious but lack the means of converting between units can use the built in converter of Google.

I started to calculate my posting frequency, but then I concluded that appearing bored is bad enough, without appearing desperately bored!

I failed my A level Mathematics last century*. If someone is still very bored would they like to work out my millichats?

I cannot see where the figures add up! On the first Page, Colin J has half the number of posts as TheDoctor, but Colin is more of a Cyclechatter than the Doc.

Are you taking into account the length of time that someone has been a member. Also whether they work from home, or do not work?

I have something much more interesting to do today. The garage needs tidying again.

Well spotted! The Doc's mC rating is correct but he has miswritten his fraction. It should have been 1/146.7 but he wrote it as 1/467.

Only if you bother to calculate the frequency of posting, which I didn't!

I've done interesting, and it invariably seems to end in grief or misery. I'll stick as I am thanks.
