Looked on Wiggle and I'm looking at £40 - is that about right? seems expensive for what they are.

7 speed to replace my old ones which are not clicking positively; smoothing out so not always sure I have changed gear.

Gear changing is happening ok though.

I might have some 7 speed gripshifters in the bits box. PM me if you want them and I'll dig them out.

Nearly bought some 7 speed shifters from Decathlon for crappy MTB I used in the snow.

Think they were £5-10 each, and Decathlon do internet ordering now I think.

Cheap gripshifters are a colossal PITA.

I'd suggest SRAM or Shimano, personally. I've worked on low end SRAM and they're ok, I'd assume Shimano are similarly so. Cheaper ones (Suntour(?) fitted to BSOs for example) are a bloody nightmare.
