Am I right in saying that currently it has Shimano 2300 ?

Up from there the Shitmano range goes Sora, Tiagra, 105 before getting really expensive

Rather than spending almost as much as the bike cost on a new groupset your best performance enhancement would be upgrading your wheels first

If you really want to upgrade then at the moment Merlin Cycles are doing Shimano 105 5600 (not the 2011 version but still perfectly good) for £299 down from £549.

Bargainous.
