Anyone know? I noticed a long time ago that he hadn't been posting and today I find myself wondering about him again.
Because it selects the shortlist from most recently active members ... and @SlowerThanASluggishSloth hasn't been on CC for a good while. If I type in @ followed by 'slow' I get a list of 5 member names but STASS is not one of them.
I met him on one of your rides. He was a very nice manThere is something a bit odd going on ... If you do the usual @SlowerThanASluggishSloth thing, it doesn't work. I wondered whether he had left CC and had asked @Shaun to delete his details but then I remembered a thread that I started in which STASS replied (HERE). If you click on his avatar there then you still get the usual information about when he last posted (Nov 2015) and so on. Very strange ...
He came along on several of my forum rides. He did a local walk with me when I was recovering from illness and not yet up to tackling the local hills on my bike. He is a really nice man. It would be good to see him again but he told me that cycling was a relatively minor interest so perhaps he is busy with his other interests, especially rock climbing?
I was just going to check to see if I still had his mobile number but then I remembered that my phone is broken. A replacement phone is in the post and when that arrives I will send a text message to STASS to ask if he is ok, and if he fancies coming on any of my rides this year.
Oh, yes, that BIG ride - I had forgotten that we rode together on that one!I met him on one of your rides. He was a very nice man
Have you tried summoning a Cervelo TT bike.Would it work if I tried to summon the candy man, or Beelzebub?
Speaking of nice people and walks ...Yes one of the nicest people I met on your rides Colin, hope he's ok.
Sounds good Colin, let you know once you set a date as I need to see if I'm working.Anyway ... @Cubist and I plan to do a walk over the local hills when his hip recovers from its recent op. We plan to catch a bus from Hebden Bridge up to Blackstone Edge which would (except for a few minor sections) do away with the need to walk uphill, head along the Pennine Way to Stoodley Pike, and then stroll downhill to the start point in HB. It probably won't be for a couple of months or so, and I will start a thread in the Recreational Rides section of the forum (since there isn't a Walks section) nearer the time. It would be fun if you could join us ...![]()
