It would be a bit tricky for me to hide my cyclechat life from my other half, since he's on here too!

Not that I have anything to hide, or wish to have.
Likewise I have nothing to hide from Arch on CC. However, I can't imagine how many years it would take me to read through all Arch's posts to find anything 'incriminating', or whether just reading I'd ever gain on her posting rate.^_^ Then there are all the other forums she is on!

I have, only once, deleted all my posts from a forum prior to leaving it. But that was to remove all my helpful input from a forum that had become bitchy and nasty. I had a second anonymous log in and found that it was a personal thing towards me.

I just don't have the time to be naughty ... ... (not that I would <in case the wife's reading!>)

I was speaking to a friend who's hubby is very keen on road cycling and told her he needs to get on C.C. as its great.... afterwards I was wondering if I'd made a mistake as the friend in question does speak to my wife .... am I right in thinking that "What happens on Cycle Chat stays on Cycle Chat" otherwise I might post something incriminating that is later used in evidence by Mrs Viking!
Of course rule 1 "never talk about fight club CycleChat"

one forum i was a member on, the owner of the forum sold out to canadians who changed the T&Cs without telling members. made it difficult to delete posts older than 30 days. it got a bit nasty after that.

I couldn't actually delete posts but I could edit them. I just went through thousands of posts and replaced all the text with a full stop. I started at the first post and worked my way through, hundreds a night, until I was within months of my last post and then cleared it all in one sitting. I hadn't posted for a few weeks anyway and it took a while before anyone noticed the missing posts.

We trust Shaun, don't we?

On a slightly more cautious note...
It's all too easy to forget that this is a public place.
I've posted things before that have come back to bite me, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I've not met Shaun, but he's on the list...
