Earlier today I was cycling home from the supermarket when a loaf of bread bounced out of my front basket. First I ran over it with my front wheel. Then I ran over it with my back wheel. The loaf is suffering from a spinal tramline and surface moisture but is recovering well in kitchen.

May have told this one before, but..
Walking in a local park with the wife some years ago, nice sunny day....'thump'...'thump thump'..'thump thump thump'
WTF !!! turned round to see a guy riding with a sack of potatoes across his crossbar. The bottom of the bag was splitting and he was leaving an ever increasing trail of potatoes behind him. It was all happening quite quickly and before he had time to stop....the whole lot emptied all over the grass underneath him.
He looked forlornly at the spuds all over the grass......and rode off leaving them there

The wife and i could hardly supress our inane giggling. I think we giggled all the way home, still makes me chuckle years later.

I can still (just) remember the days when onion johnnies were still to be seen plying their trade up and down our street... (*sigh*)

Yes, it does take me back to an era of large glass sweetie jars. But, I too remember them as well.
