I had one once. Early 90s.

I've never ridden a carbon bike. Or a recumbent. Or any bike with disc brakes.

I have ridden a tandem though, a friend's dad had a couple of tandems when I was a yoof in the 70s.

I've never owned a non-steel bike.

Actually, I think not all that many of us have. Some people have done TTs (I've done a solitary one), which I suppose would count. Much fewer have done actual races I would imagine.
