Well the thing is that Snell is from the USA and they have different ways of testing. So what you will need to do is find out what the standard code is in the UK then you can look it up. All cycling helmets will have ether have a BS or a EN code mine has EN1078.
From the reading I have done, all Helmets sold legally in the uk meet EN1078, however the us standard Snell B-95 takes much more rigourous testing to meet.
There are some helmets in the uk, meeting the snell B-95 standard, that I know of, however I was wondering if anyone knows of any?
If you want a lid, either get one that keeps you cool (costs a bit), one that looks OK, one that looks 'orrible, or one of these boil in the head skater ones........... All are good enough for gravel rash protection.....and a knock..... saves a big bad headache though.........
Don't expect them to save your life though............they won't....
Many thanks for the link, will look at this tomorow.
If I could buy a helmet, that was for sale 10 years ago I would as I think the same, however this is not possible, so I have to do the best with what we have now.
