Anybody ever heard of Gianni or even better own one? I saw this on eBay which looks pretty and is in my size is close to my size, but I've never heard of them.

What do you reckon? Worth a punt?

Your question should be 'who'.

Like many pros from that era, he put his name to a frame building company. I believe Merlin and Wiggle stock his efforts in the UK. Not sure what they are like to ride but that does look pretty smart. Not sure I'd go as high as £500 for it though. £100 maybe? It looks a standard aluminium frame to me.

Might make up into a nice bike, don't forget you'll need some forks. Carbon? Could end up costing a lot of money for a full build. Is it the right size for you? Does the geometry suit? As above, maybe go as high as £150.

I've got some generic Carbon forks that haven't seen any action yet. I've also got a half-decent wheelset that have been hanging in the garage for a year waiting for the right frame. I'm just trying to decide if this is the right frame. I guess the price has a lot to do with it.

I'm 6'4" tall with a 34" inside leg. If anything, I think the frame might be a little small.

@smokeysmoo is our other resident giant. He may be able to give you some tips on frame sizing.

I can just about stretch myself to fit a 60cm frame and I'm 6'1" with a 34" inseam. The effective top tube length is the most important measurement IMO.

See my post, (#8) from a different thread HERE

What I would highlight from that is the 5th line regarding C'dale top tube length, (and as @AndyRM points out above). As I mention in my linked post it does tend to be a touch longer on a C'dale than most other manufacturers, and this obviously helps us taller guys, but that small detail might be a deal breaker on the frame you've seen.

I've got no experience of that frame or manufacturer/brand at all, so unless you can get the full geometry of it and compare that to a bike you know fits you well them there will always be a element of risk IMO.

That said if you can get it cheap enough and build it into a complete bike, even if it is too small you might be able to flip it and make some wonga in the process
