I was riding my bike today when, apropos of nothing at all, I started thinking about the old Top Gear, and then famous people that I have little time for, when I realised how many of them are called Jeremy. In no particular order I had Kyle, Clarkson, Hunt, Paxman, Corbyn, Vine and Irons.

There must be people to admire called Jeremy, but none of them came to mind. The next ride I go on I'll try to think of saintly Jeremys, other than the original Saint Jeremy.
Agreed exept Corbyn !

I had a look at the Wikipedia page for Jeremy. You are right, it's not an auspicious name.

Jeremy Bamber is a new name to me, but presumably notorious at the time.

Edit: oh, yes, also Jeremy Piven.

Crikey - he was a real charmer.
