What is it with the daily threads with nonsense names?

Recently there has been a trend towards daily threads being posted with non-sensical names, for example today

friday a shock wave forms at the surface of the fireball, the air becomes ionized and incandescent​

What are these all about????

I score very highly in AQ tests and, bizarrely, these treads titles actually cause my Whoop band to pick up elevated stress when I come across them.

I assume that there is no way to bulk block them, other than put the whole CC Cafe general area on ignore? That is something I would rather avoid as there is often interesting discussions in there.

It's the bunch from Bike Radar. Brought over a strange ritual. They are like the Borg - "Resistance is Futile, we will assimilate you". They better be careful, we at the Cybermen - "DELETE" !

It's a thing carried over from Bike Radar apparently - A lot of former members post in them and is their daily equivalent of the 'Mundane News' or 'Tea?' thread.

'Tis daily, so yes, it can appear a bit excessive at times.

I have stressed we have a Mundane News or a Tea thread already but, they are just weird. BR fell to bits years ago, so these must be some lost nomadic tribe !

Over thirteen years here with all sorts of nonsense from racists, trolls and weirdos and this is the first time I have ever used the ignore member function. What a blessed relief!

You can, and I do generally just ignore. But the difference is that there is one thread a day, rather than just a few threads with thousands of pages each.
