What is the lowest temperature you would cycle in?

Went out today for a ride to try the new(to me) hybrid . Prairie threw everything at me, wind, freezing rain, then snow. Had ice on my helmet when I got home . So I guess 28 is the limit for me.

I am nervous about biking to work tonite. I've laid out my clothes. The alternative is walking, and that's just scarier. I found some latex gloves from work so I'll wear those under my gloves. That should hold the heat in!

No, the City of Ottawa keeps the roads well salted and maintained. Mostly bare roads that day.

I cycled at temps of -17 deg C in Northern China a few years back. The roads were dry so no fear of ice but after about an hour the hands and feet told me it was time to go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i was just out a while ago ,didnt feel cold while i was cycling but there was a helluva lot of ice around ,its currently around 5 deg here and its lovely when your not in the shade ,but obv its not been warm enough to get rid of all the ice ,looks really nice but some bits were dodgy
my gen cut off point is if theres a chance of ice id stay indoors , i thought itd b fine but obv not ,
