I have never seen any point to Twitter and having watched my teenage Daughter using it, I realise that it is a very dangerous place. According to my local police, it is probably the easiest way to internet groom as well!

In my opinion, if you use facebook properly it can be an invaluable tool. So for example, along with a mate we started a couple of facebook groups for motorhome friends and another for photographers. These have become a very simple way of keeping in touch with mates and organising meetings and finding out useful information. I also set up 'events' and again it is an easy way of contacting and inviting a lot of friends in one hit.

For personal use I also find facebook to be a simple way of keeping on touch with a lot of friends and family in one go. Obviously if you are foolish enough to invite or accept invites to everyone who you come in contact with you will end up with far too much going on in your account. So for example I know people who play games and end up with 3 - 4,000 people they are communicating with. So what on earth is the point in that?

Go on, tilt your head!
I don't really get it either, which probably means I'm too old (at 30) for it lol.

Personally I think it was created because the # was getting underused and some bright spark wanted to reinvent it?
