 Very sad, but definitely my favourite film with him in it.

Loved that film, if i put a arty pharty critic head on, i think it was like watching a mans grief and torment descend further and further Into an abyss.
Very very clever, a bit grim but so well done.
Shame is, it kinda reflects the torment that was obviously haunting Robin himself.

Good Will Hunting, a superb performance by Robin matched by co star Matt Damon.
The BBC are giving it another showing tonight. I'll watch it again, even though I watched it only a couple of years ago.

Several films mentioned above have somehow escaped me, including Mrs. Doubtfire and Garp. I'll keep an eye open for them over the next few weeks when lots of RW's films will no doubt be shown on TV. DVDs in flea markets could be another source.

I enjoyed one of his lesser roles in one of his lesser (later) films - probably one of the ones he took to keep up with the alimony - as a sort of Fagin figure in a potboiler called August Rush. Wouldn't recommend it as such ('er indores thought it was crap) but as ever, he did what he had to do and he did it with a certain panache.

The Awakenings was a very good film and one I woud recommend if you haven't seen it. I still enjoy Good Morning Vietnam. The kids have seen Mrs Doubtfire a few times out of choice.
