i'm looking at bike geometry (i've got long legs, shorter reach, but too tall for women's specific) and just wondered what this meant?

also what do they mean about chain stay length?

basically, i'm looking for a short reach but i don't wanna be right over the top of my pedals as i tend to push myself back on the seat due to the length of my legs. What should be i be looking for in bike geometry? like i said, can't get women's specific as they only go up to 56 (and 56 in women's geometry has too short a top tube whereas 56 in mens is longer top tube). my last bike was 58.

The length of the chain stay, i.e. the distance from the bottom bracket to the hub on the rear wheel. Although some say it is the the distance between the centres of the two gear cogs.

What should be i be looking for in bike geometry?

thanks for that. the last link probably does help but having a few probs with my broadband at the moment and having to use works. the firewall stops me getting on the link. i'll take a look at that one later. ta
