What item of clothing would it break your heart to lose?

I was reminded recently of the time I left my 25-year-old leather jacket in the pub. When I went back an hour later, they produced it from behind the bar. I have rarely been so relieved in my life. The only thing that comes close is my walking boots...

I've had them for over 30 years, and if anything happened to them, I'd be bereft. Do you have any items of clothing that are almost like old friends?

My Dainese motorcycle jacket..
Im not materialistic as far as clothing and shoes are concerned..but that jacket makes me smile.

i gave away about 500 quids worth of near mint as new motorcycle kit to the charity shop a few weeks ago, Frank Thomas cordura jackets and trousers..HRC fleece..Hein Gerricke summer bike jacket
but the Dainese jacket got put back in the wardrobe..
i could ebay but ive gone off that..

i think my wife keeps EVERYTHING grrrr

A lot of the clothes i own have been with me for at least 5+

A few years ago a very patterned rugby shirt that i had owned for 10+ years was kindly donated to charity by my partner and my own daughter without my consent !!

Every time a tv report comes on showing refugees or under privaliged people i always look for my Rugby shirt , so far still not seen

I've kept the tshirt I was wearing when I first held my son though.

I like my brogues and tweed jacket but it's not worth getting attached to things.

My heart has already been broken by a T-shirt I once had featuring a badly-drawn bear wearing 3D glasses.

I bought an Eddie Bauer jacket in the US, 1989, when they were top stuff made in Seattle. It's wool, really thick with press stud fastening, fully zipped too, leather elbows, I have had the collar turned over as it was worn, but it's still in good shape, I use every winter and occasionally look at US Ebay for another.

The sweater my dad bought me on our last holiday in the Hebrides before he died. I'm not allowed to wear it because the folky patterns are thought to be too un-trendy in my family but I treasure it.

Do you wear them? Other than the picture? My Zamberlands are looking past it and have only had them 2 years. Are they "Tex....." lined? Or didn't they have it 1990s!!

A heavy long sleeved cotton t shirt bought by my daughters 20 years ago. I have had to have it virtually rebuilt twice. I try not to wear except when they're about.
"Will you throw that shirt away"
"No I like it, buy me another one"
"They wouldn't make it now, whoever they are. The logo has worn out we don't even know who made it"
"You just don't care"!!
