Two things:
I was sitting down the other day, with a nice cup of tea (PG Tips*, bit of milk) and I had realized I had a true appreciation for this, the taste was just perfect. At the time as I sat back and enjoyed it, as far as I was concerned, there was no one else anywhere who could be enjoying that taste of tea as much as I was......
Quite a few years ago, I changed my disposable razors to an old fashioned safety razor (Edwin Jagger EJ89** knurled, Israeli Personna blades) with a nice brush with various soaps -and you know what? Shaving has never been the same since, there have been so many times where taking a shave is just an absolute pleasure and I've looked forward to it (could never say the same previously).
It struck me that neither of these things requires bags of money -and I'm as happy as can be (I'm not a multi-millionaire, but I certainly shave like one, and I bet I have nicer tea!). I could actually give some other similar examples, but it made me think -anyone else have similar things? Stuff you do that makes you feel like a million bucks but not costing a million bucks?
*thought I'd say the kind of tea I was drinking. Personally I love PG but appreciate it's not for everyone. I also like Yorkshire tea, but that's more a problem to get where I am.
**again, YMMV, but works for me!
