Standing in my garden in the summer sunshine with the flowers in bloom.
(And preferably with a cuppa in my hand!)

OK, so buying a house with a garden didn't cost pennies, but I can get a similar effect walking in a field full of buttercups or daisies... or standing on top of a mountain with distant views, or the feeling of being clean and tired after a good day's walk/cycle and a hot shower, with the prospect of a calorific dinner to come.

A cuddle on the sofa with my 3-year-old boy.
Or alternatively:
When I arrive, and he spots me across the room, breaks out into a massive grin, and comes running towards me.

Don't happen that often, but brilliant when they do.

A really good Cox's. You never know whether it's going to be a good one or not - some look fine, but turn out to be grainy & too sweet. Then you get one and even as you take your first bite, you know it's a winner! (Oh yes, and mine are 'a few pennies' - I get mine from a street stall that sells the ones the majors won't take because they don't look perfect - last time I got 14 for a quid.) (Unlike girly haircuts, BTW, which I have good reason to know only cost a few pennies if 'few' means 'a few thousand'. *sigh*)
