Oooh green, lovely  Good 105 spec, carbon fork. Are you able to get a testride, I think the Madone's have the more aggressive geometry versus the Domane

What size will you need as looks like they only have limited sizes (small or large) available this year http://www.evanscycles.com/products/trek/madone-23-h2-compact-2013-road-bike-ec041060

Are you ok to go over the £1000 at Evans? Some retailers will let you pay 'cash' on top, some won't
yeah the guy said i could pay the extra 150 if i wanted it,adjusting the seat then the smaller size was ok for me.i don't know much about the tech side of bikes so cant say about the domane but will ask him tomorrow when i go back.I just loved the colour as its unusal from the red, white or black that i mainly see.To be honest i would have been happy with the fuji bike but loved the green on this ,sad i know lol

View attachment 13416 thanks to everyone for your thoughts and info,i do appreciate it. I was in evans yesterday and fell in love with this bike that someone had ordered, trek madone 2.3 ht compact 2013 road bike

I know it's only a photo, but there doesn't seem to be much clearance between the rear tyre and the down tube.

No chance of fitting mudguards at a later date, and a replacement tyre could foul if it had as slightly different profile.

On t'other hand, I bet it's a good bike in all other respects and, most importantly, you've fallen in love with it.

Nice bike there Tony.

Just noticed you are "Offa da wood"... Might be worth using some of the money saved to get one of these...

I used to worknearby on the Birmingham Buisness Park, I had to drop of a DVD off to a mate that was in the Centurian, it was like that scene where the American Hikers walked into the Slaughtered Lamb!
lol not been in the centurian for years .When i go out for a ride sometimes i do circuits around the nec and business park,4 miles of nice flat roads.Tha bike lock is available online from tredz bikes for fifty pounds, just ordered one thanks for the tip.

Hmmm... I might give that a go at the weekend.

Sometimes I dont want to fight the traffic so I could put the bike in the car, drive down and bang out some boring laps, whilst sticking my tongue out at my previous employer!
