Not that you can trust the intentions of those who are indicating.....

You can if you're driving a sodding great lorry. As far as I'm concerned, if you're not indicating you're going straight on and I can pull out.;)

That doesn't explain the HGV that assumed I was going left instead of heading straight for Lakeside services as he was. Fortunately my van does have some acceleration and I was able to get out from under his lee only just before he ran me off the road. 4 a.m. - he was probaly still asleep.

He then went very, very slowly for some reason best known to himself.

But then I suppose white vans are fair game.

Anyway my 'orrible car goes p/ex tomorrow. Whaaahyeeyyy!

Which reminds me, I had someone (WVM) pull out in front of me on an NSL road this morning. I was doing about 50, rounded a corner, he stared at me then pulled out. I had to drop everything to avoid contact, which wouldn't have been so bad if the twunt hadn't then done the next 3 miles at no more than 20mph.

Fortunately, the morning was glorious and I was running very early, so I was able to take the opportunity to enjoy the rather delightful scenery around Burnham Beeches but, heck, that one bugs me.

(Oh, and before any local flames me, I know most of the roads through the Beeches are 40 limits, this was "around" them, though ;) )

That is naughty. The flip side of my post above is that if someone is not indicating, I assume they're going straight on. Then I sit there while a stream of cars turns left without indicating.

What's getting my goat at the moment is a cyclist I've met coming towards me a couple of times this week on the unlit roads near home. He (or she) has a very good light on his handlebars and a super bright head light on his helmet, I'm guessing its something like a Fenix Hedlamp, but its really, really bright and he does insist on looking at the drivers as they come past which basically means he's shining a super bright torch in the faces of on coming drivers.

Great lights, lack of thought while using them

Here's one that drives me mad. There's two people in the car immediately in front and you're on a road where you can't overtake so you have no option but to look at this car. The two people are having a conversation. Now the passenger can look wherever the heck they want but the driver is turning his/her head to the passenger when it's his/her turn to speak! Aaargggh! I can't take my eyes of the driver and wondering how he's (and to be fair, it is nearly always a he) keeping the car on the road. PAY ATTENTION TO THE ROAD, NOT YOUR PASSENGER YOU CLOWN!

Also like to add people who take so long to get moving at a green traffic light that it's turned amber again by the time anyone else can move.

+1. If everyone's ready and move off together at the lights you can get at least a couple of extra cars through before they change again.

The other one for me is people who bust a gut to pull out of a side road in front of you causing you to brake (when there's nobody behind), then dawdle along leaving you stuck behind them. Tw@ts!

+1, okay so no you note the driver in front is distracted, drop back a little bit because they're more likely to need to brake hard suddenly & maybe start looking further down the road, you may want to consider a change your road position to aid this. Also if you're going for an overtake be more conservative with the gaps you're taking & give them a wider berth if possible.
